rishikesh ganga aarti places

Rishikesh, the 'Yoga Capital of the World,' is not only famous for its spiritual retreats and adventure activities but also for the mesmerizing Ganga Aarti. This divine ritual, held every evening, is an experience that captivates both devotees and travelers alike. If you are planning to witness this sacred event, here are the best places to see the Ganga Aarti in Rishikesh.

1. Triveni Ghat

The most popular and revered spot to witness the Ganga Aarti, Triveni Ghat is just 1.7 km from Clarks Inn Express, Rishikesh. This holy site is where three rivers—Ganga, Yamuna, and Saraswati—are believed to converge. Every evening, priests perform an elaborate Aarti with rhythmic chants, diyas, and incense, creating a spiritually uplifting atmosphere.

2. Parmarth Niketan

Located in the heart of Rishikesh, Parmarth Niketan Ashram hosts one of the most serene and organized Ganga Aartis. The ashram’s Aarti is led by students and spiritual leaders, making it an immersive experience filled with devotion and positivity. This location is especially recommended for those seeking a peaceful and enlightening experience.

3. Shatrughan Ghat

A lesser-known but equally divine location, Shatrughan Ghat offers a more intimate experience of the Ganga Aarti. Unlike the crowded Triveni Ghat, this location provides a quieter ambiance, allowing visitors to connect deeply with the spiritual essence of the ceremony.

4. Laxman Jhula Ghat

Overlooking the famous Laxman Jhula bridge, this ghat provides a unique setting for the Aarti. With the backdrop of ancient temples and the serene flow of the Ganga, this location is perfect for capturing the true essence of Rishikesh’s spirituality.
